How determine how far will a projectile go if the initial elevation is different from the final elevation

Today I learned to how to determine the horizontal displacement of a projectile that will land at a different elevation from when it launched, Here's a screenshot of the page from Khan Academy. It is an equation to calculate how long was it in the air. Once you know how long was it in the air, you can multiply that by the horizontal component of the projectile's launch.
