International Space Station

The Internation Space Station, or ISS, is made of many modules that came from all over the world. The pieces to build the ISS came from 16 countries from all over the world. The first module is currently a Russian storage module, but since it was the first module, it had to do all the work. The ISS was then finished in 2009. The size of the ISS is about 360 feet long and 160 feet wide. It also has an oxegen supplier to create oxegen for the astronauts by using electrolysis. Due to the shutdown of the US shuttle program in 2011, astronauts had to get to the ISS through Russian spacecraft.
