Food Chains

A food chain is a group of producers, consumers and, decomposers that make up an ecosystem. Producers are at the bottom of the food chain since they don't eat other organisms, but instead produce their own food. A primary consumer is a consumer that eats plants and are the first consumer in a food chain. Secondary consumers basically consume other consemers. A decomposer break down dead composers into materials that can be reused by producers. Multiple overlapping food chains make a food web.
