What is the heart?

The heart is the muscle in the body that pumps oxygenated blood to the rest of the body and brings non-oxygenated blood into the heart to be pumped to the lungs.

The heart is made of two atria and two ventricles. The atria is the part of the heart where blood goes into the heart, while the ventricles pump blood out of the heart. The left atrium is where non-oxegenated blood goes into the heart. The right atrium is where oxegenated blood goes into the heart from the lungs. The left ventricle is where blood is pumped into the lungs to be oxegenated. The right ventricle is where oxegenated blood exits the heart.

The heart is as big as your fist and manages to pump oxegenated blood to the rest of the body in one minute. The will pump faster and harder the harder you work. The heart pumps 24/7 until death.
