Review on Exponents

If you see a number that looks like this 4^3 or looks like a normal number with a smaller number on the top-right corner, you are looking at a number with an exponent. An exponent represents how many times the number it's designated to is in it's repeated multiplication. In the example I gave you (4^3), 4 will be multiplied repeatedly with 4 making 3 appearances in the equation. Meaning 4 raised to the 3rd power is equal to 4 * 4 * 4 = 64.
