How to live stream?

What should I use?
There are multiple good apps and software to stream your gameplay to platforms such as Twitch, Facebook, and Youtube. For live streaming on PC, I suggest using Gameshow. I will describe later in this article why you should use Gameshow for your live streaming on PC. Mobile live stream appears to be much simpler since compatibility is very easy; but a very popular one is Omlet Arcade.

Why use Gameshow?
Most of the live streams on my Youtube channel (Trigger's Steam Gameplays), are made using Gameshow's live streaming software. This is because it has multiple features that make it very useful in any game. Below are the listed reasons:

  1. Gameshow will not automatically place a watermark in your live streams. It is a free-to-use program
  2. You don't need to make an account on Gameshow in order to use it.
  3. You can use images, snapshots, and videos you have to create screens during you stream; such as Be Right Back or some sort of flashback to something that happened.
  4. You can preview those screens or other media before showing it live.
  5. Chroma Key! It's basically greenscreen, but with any chosen color. (I used it during my Melody's Escape Video)
  6. You can place other objects in your stream/recording; such as camera, live chat from viewers, subscribers, text, and other things (Did I mention Gameshow was free?).
  7. IT'S FREE!
  8. You can reuse your layout and shots in a document.

How do I use chroma key?
To do this, first you must make a new shot, or add the chroma key to an existing shot. What chroma key does is that it will remove a selected color from the selected shot-component (Such as camera feed or in-game stream) and place the selected media underneath it. For example, in my Melody's Escape Video, I placed the game in the lowest layer and placed the camera above it. Then I selected the color of my shirt. This made the chroma key function make that color in the camera feed transparent (Or in other words, removed it). So, you can see the game behind my shirt (And a bit through the TV). If I had a more clear area to record, I would have selected the color of the wall behind me, so it will remove the wall, and you can see the game. (To more clearly understand this, click on the link below and keep a close eye on the black part of my shirt).

I will still be continued my course on Open2Study
