Electromagnetic Radiation Part 2

What is infrared light?
Infrared light is a form of radiation with a lower frequency than visible light. All objects will emit infrared light. Objects with a higher molecular speed will emit higher amplitudes of infrared radiation; hotter objects make more infrared light.

What is visible light?
Visible light is naturally emitted from the sun in the form of white light. It reflects off of objects then goes into eyes to be converted from light, into an image we see. White light is composed out of red light, blue light, and green light. The "color" of an object is actually just the color of that light reflected off of objects that absorbed the rest of the light. For example, objects that appear to be red have actually just absorbed the rest of the blue light and green light from the white light.

What is ultraviolet light?
Ultraviolet light has multiple uses and has a higher frequency than visible light. One of its uses is sterilization of medical products; it makes medicines clean. It is naturally good for you if exposed to a certain amount. Ultraviolet light can make the body produce Vitamin D, making controlled exposure to UV light a treatment for Vitamin D deficiency; sunlight's good for you.

To be continued... Again...
