Electromagnetic Radiation Part 3

What are x-rays?
X-rays are the form of electromagnetic radiation with the second-highest energy. It penetrates through many substances. This includes clothing and human flesh. X-ray machines work by emitting x-rays through the human body, then the machine will detect the amount of exposure through the other side and make an image out of that; It makes the x-rays go through to body and it makes an image based on how much.

What's are gamma rays?
Gamma rays are the most powerful form of electromagnetic radiation. With it being that powerful, it can be used to save lives. Gamma rays are used to sanitize medical equipment in a similar way to UV light, it can be used to save lives in a greater way. Gamma rays... are used to treat cancer. Gamma rays can be used to kill cancer cells; If it can kill all the mutated cells, it could cure the victim and save their life.

Bonus: The electromagnetic spectrum we have today wasn't exactly "invented" by one person. Since there are lots of different radiations, multiple people had to discovery each of them at different times. The first form of radiation that was discovered other than visible light was infrared light. It was discovered William Herschel.
