Periodic Table Part 4

What is neon? Neon is the tenth element on the periodic table. Neon is a noble gas; meaning it is stable because it's valence shell is full. One of its uses is for lighting. Neon lights are made by making a sealed glass tube and filling it with neon, then making electric current run through it by using an electrode; a tool used to connect a circuit to non-metallic material. When enough electricity is conducted through neon, it will glow.

What is sodium? Sodium is the eleventh element on the periodic table. Sodium is found in baking soda (NaHCO3), table salt (NaCl), and sodium acetate (C2H3NaO2).

What is magnesium? Magnesium is the twelfth element on the periodic table. Magnesium helps the plants and animals by making their bodies begin 300+ reactions. It helps the muscles, blood, nerves, bones, and metabolism. Magnesium can be obtained from vegetables, nuts, and fruits. Some foods that contain magnesium are bananas, avocadoes, spinach, beans, and more.

What is aluminum? Aluminum is the thirteenth element on the periodic table. Because of it being flexible, light, and easy to shape, it is used to make lots of products. It is used to make tin foil, cans, tools, and other things. It also cools very quickly and doesn't conduct electricity very well.
